Tum!

Tum ishq ho tum Jaan ho

Koi puche ki humse tum kaun ho?

Toh tum mere jahan ho

Agar ye koi kahe ki

Tum bager

Mera naam ho

Mera bada khaandaan ho

Mere kai maakaan ho

Toh me bolu ki

Ye jindagi ho toh tumhare sath ho

Bhale hi rahen ko kudadaan ho

Teri raat ko thak kar kharraton ko sunti

Are tujh pata bhi hai ?

Agar le aaye Kohinoor bhi toh,

Fiki uski chamak, meri jaan...

Teri hasi ke aage jeena kya hai ya marna kya hai.

phir bhi koi mujhse puche ki tum kaun ho ?

me bolu...

Tum meri Jaan ho. Jahaan ho.

The point is to find the Calm.

When it comes to religion at first I think of Bertrand Russell and at another I think of Vivekananda and Gandhi ji. The spectrum widens from fear to reason to morality. I believe all of them were equally ethical in their approach to understand the religion. The subjective understanding of religion makes varied colors and hues and even denial has many colors in it.
I think of people like Locke who did not except atheist as moral enough and was intolerant towards non-believers. OH! How fearful that man was of God. And then I am reminded of Marx who analyzed that how unconscious mind become a blind obedient of religion and it becomes his religion.  Marx was  looking at the perspective of religion where one forgets about reason in religion.
Religion has different meaning but the goal of human life with or without religion is delved upon by all the great people above.  The idea of finding about our existence and understanding the meaning of being conscious is what they wanted. Vivekananda asked us to serve the Vedantic religion of unity where service to humanity is highest religion and so did Saint Mother Teresa. What we become as human and why become as human and how we become human and what it means to be human are the questions yet unanswered. We as Human look for causes and explanations and when we do not find them we look at mythology or fables. The real idea that every religion expects us to understand is to be calm with our existence and to be calm with our being as we are. Hinduism absolves us to next life so that we stay calm in our existence here. Jainism believes in the existence here and action. Islam gives us the meaning to wait for the day of judgment and Christianity looks back at Jesus to atone for our sins of existence.
But as a quest for defining humanity goes on we find ourselves entangled in complex question. The point is to find the calm.

इमरोज़!

Silence and laughter,
Music and melody,
And every other moment filled with love. It was and is इमरोज़.

When life takes you ahead of time and where you are supposed to be. Yet time lingers around, giving us presence of past which is not relevant anymore but a good past time with no authority over you and no claim what so ever. Let it stay in the doors of mirror because it suits it.

Wounds.

You were hurt I thought.  I wished to heal you and love you. I tried with the utmost of my strength and made a house of glass for us. I picked up piece by piece, shattering my soul and my being.
I gave up for the wounds you had and I gave up for cracks you had.
Even, I was scarred but I loved you much more than healing them.
I thought one day you would heal and waited and worked for it. Years passed by. I went so deep into the cracks you had that I forgot to breathe. But when one day a piece of glass from our house struck through my heart I had to wake up. I had to breathe.
I wish you had believed in the ointments made of my soul, my being, my honesty and my effort. I thought we would share the scars of our wounds and cherish them as they are and stay in that cramped crystal house which was no less than a heaven in my eyes. And we would be as we were!
But then I could see you have no wound anymore. If you were the ointment would have worked.
You harmed yourself, you took pieces of our crystal house and harmed your soul. You didn’t accept the ointment for the wounds. And in all this glass house was hollowed and it fell apart.

I wish you had opened your soul and let my efforts seep in

I do remember.

I don’t remember,
deep conversation.
I don’t remember,
 quest to soul.
I don’t remember,
satiation of the mind.
I don’t remember,
Event of high happiness.
I felt hollow in the end.
I don’t remember
A completeness.

I do remember,
Not being my self.
I do remember,
Squealing to my soul.
I do remember,
The times unjustified
I do remember,
The thoughts suppressed.
I do remember,
Absence of my heart.
I do remember
It wasn’t because I couldn’t.
I do remember,
Being here yet I wasn’t.
I do remember,
I missed something.
I do remember,
I was imprisoned in my mind.
I do remember,
That I don’t remember.

And that was the end!

I remember.
